Another beach stone I picked up last year in Greece. In soft olive green with a creamy white diagonal stripe, it's one cool stone! To not distract from the unique markings and color of the stone I made a very simple setting for it. Wrapped in a fine silver bezel and set on a sterling silver backplate, it swings from a hidden tube bail on a 16" Italian sterling silver soft cornered box chain that closes with my signature hand forged j-hook clasp.
The silver was then fiven a patina bath and hand polished to a soft, glowing sating finish for a rustic, organic patina that compliments the stone beautifully. All metalwork done in studio by hand, by me. The beach stone is 36 mm x 22 wide, necklace length is 16.5". If you prefer an 18.5" necklace simply add a note at checkout and I will be happy to change the length.
Please note that the "cracks" visible in the photos are naturally healed fractures (filled with agate I imagine), the stone is structurally sound. In hand you do not see them, they are magnified due to the extreme close-up macro photography.
